Hoops of Hope: Stone Brings Determination and Team Spirit to Trust Basketball
What an incredible afternoon at the Aletheia Trust Basketball Tournament! Stone may have finished in 6th place, but the journey was worth every moment. We are so proud of the resilience, teamwork, and heart that our players showed from the first tip-off to the final whistle. It was an evening full of challenges, growth, and unforgettable memories.

The teams that participated were:
- St. Botolph’s – 1st Place
- Holy Trinity – 2nd Place
- Halling – 3rd Place
- Saint George’s – 4th Place
- Cliffe Woods – 5th Place
- Stone – 6th Place
- Rosherville – 7th Place
- Shorne – 8th Place
- Sutton – 9th Place
- All Stars – 10th Place
While we may not have claimed a top spot, Stone played with everything we had. We came together as a team, supported one another on every play, and pushed ourselves beyond our limits. It wasn’t just about the score — it was about showing up, doing our best, and learning from every moment on the court. The tournament was a true test of resilience, and we embraced every challenge that came our way.
A huge congratulations to St. Botolph’s for claiming the top spot and Holy Trinity for securing second place. Their skill, strategy, and teamwork were inspiring to watch. Halling, who finished in 3rd place, also played a strong game, and we have great respect for their performance. Every team demonstrated what it means to play with heart and sportsmanship, and it was a privilege to compete alongside such talented schools.
Looking forward, we are excited for the next event in the Aletheia Trust Games — Trust Rugby! The lessons we’ve learned from the basketball tournament — resilience, teamwork, and perseverance — will carry us into the rugby competition, and we can’t wait to bring the same energy and heart to the next challenge. Congratulations to every team for their efforts, and here is to more exciting events ahead!
