Meet the Governors

Daniel Milne

Chair of Governors

Dan has spent his entire working life within education, both as school staff and as an external provider. He has two children in Stone St. Mary’s and his wife also teaches at the school. He is passionate about all children having equal opportunities to achieve. He currently chairs the resources committee and is vice-chair of the full governing body. He is also responsible for pupil premium monitoring and health & safety.

Pem Hulusi

Vice Chair of Governors

The school is the hub of any community, and for Pem, it was personally important to support our local community through the next generation. She helped develop the first industry holiday hunger charity, Meals & More, supporting children outside term time in recent years. Learning loss, cognitive support is a passion of hers, and it is vital to allow every child the opportunity to thrive.

Deborah Lambert

Trust Governor

Deborah has recently retired after nearly thirty years as a Special Educational Needs Co Ordinator. During that time, she was also a Designated Teacher for Looked After Children. She is an active participant of St Mary’s Church, Stone; being a member of the Parochial Church Council, the Parish Safeguarding officer, a Server, member of the Pastoral Team and bell ringer.

Kenneth Clark

Trust Governors

Kenneth is the Rector of Stone. He has been in the post since 2004 with involvement on the governing body all that time. He plays a part in the pastoral care of staff and families and represents the ongoing partnership with the parish church (St Mary the Virgin, Stone), which founded the school.

Lisa Prince

Staff Governor

Lisa is the staff governor for the school. Stone St. Mary’s has been an important part of her life for many years now. Both her sons attended the school and she worked as a volunteer and once her children moved on to secondary school, she was lucky enough to secure a position as Kipper Class Teacher. She is very proud to work at the school and believes that the school’s ethos, vision and values ensure that Stone St Mary’s school is an amazing place to be part of, as a pupil or staff member.

Loice Gachara-Mwangi

Co-opted Governor

Loice has served on the Full Governing Body as a Co-opted Governor and Vice Chair for Finance Resources Committee since May 2019.  She has worked in the Financial Services sector for 17 years as an auditor. Loice has been able to utilise her skills gained in auditing to support the FGB on matters related to governance, controls and finance. She is also passionate about diversity and inclusion and as an active member in her community, helps young people develop the skills they need to succeed in future careers through delivering life skills such as work experience and mock interviews.

Steve Carty

Parent Governor

As a parent, I believe this is a great opportunity for me to show the school how much I value the teaching and encouragement given to my son. I became a Parent Governor at Stone St Mary’s to help contribute to the continued success of the school’s high level of achievements.

Steven Muzio

Trust Governor

Steven trained as a secondary music teacher in 2006. Since then, he has taken on various roles such as Head of Department/Faculty and Pastoral Director. Previously, Steven worked as a Deputy Headteacher, contributing to the establishment of a new secondary school in Bromley. Now, he works locally for Stone Parish Council, allowing him to devote more time to his young family. Steven strongly believes that every child deserves the best start in life, and he sees education as playing a vital role in this. Stone St Mary’s accomplishes wonderful things for its students every day, and Steven hopes that his experiences can further enrich the education of every child.
